Using Articles to Get People to Your Camp Website
One of the activities that camp directors are often engaged in is advertising and marketing. First and foremost your camp needs a good web site. All of your advertising should point to that site. You can pay money to get your site listed in online camp directories and on adwords, but your goal should be to get your site ranked high n the organic listings of the search engines so that you don’t have to pay for listings.
One effective means to do this is to provide a lot of content on your web site. Have your staff write articles about all kinds of things related to camp and post those articles on your site. If you have a blog connected to your site, that is an ideal format for doing this. The more informational content you have on your site, the faster you can build your search engine rankings.
However, your article posting should not end there. A big key to ranking high in the search engines is getting links from other web sites to your site. A great way to do this is by posting articles on many different article directory sites on the internet. You can learn more about this by reading my article, “How to Use Article Marketing for Internet Marketing.” You can also get a free ebook about article marketing: Free Article Marketing Ebook.
Your articles topics could include:
“How to Choose a Camp for Your Children,” “The Benefits of Sending Your Children to Camp,” “How to Unite Your Group With Team-Building Activities,” “How Camp _________ Makes a Difference.” If you do not have someone on staff who can write such articles, you can hire a ghost writer to write these for you. A writer may be willing to post them on article directory sites for you also and include a resource box with a link to your camp’s website.
I am willing to take on a few camp clients to write and post for them. Just leave a comment with contact info and I’ll be in touch.
